Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American singer and actress is very well-known. In her early years Sara was targeted for racial discrimination by many people in America. When she went to an event at school and was given great praise for her performance, in ninth grade the young girl started to grow more confident. This not only increased her confidence but also shifted her career ambition. The 22-year-old earned a degree from the Julliard School in New York. When she was 23, her first Broadway appearance in Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her debut in the film You've got Mail were both major breakthroughs. The greatest accomplishment of her career occurred with her portrayal of The Lady of The Lake in Spamalot's original Broadway production. She did not only get the Tony Award, but her performance was also well-received by reviewers. In the following year, when she was Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy for ABC, she gained greater appreciation. A singer by profession She has also recorded one single and an extended piece. In addition, she is a LGBT activist.
